Greetings from Luanshya. This note will be short because we are exhausted.

As an added note... I "lost" my updated mailing list. I have tried to update this list as best I can, but it is from a previous update in September. If you receive this at an e-mail address that needs to be updated, please contact me. Thanks!

This is the end of the academic year in Zambia so we have been going to school programmes and parent-teacher conferences for all of our children at the Lighthouse Children's Home. Those who have shared with us in this particular ministry will be thrilled to know that our kids are doing very well. Our youngest, Andrew, has excelled in mathematics and our most active, Johnny, climbed to the top of his class. All of them have done remarkably - especially considering their history. Thank you for praying for them. Keep it up!

With school classes dismissed until 12th January 2004, the Christian Resource Centre is busy from opening to close every day. The age of our visitors now spans four generations with church leaders and preachers preparing for sermons, school kids reading the Christian fiction books and youngsters looking through the Bible picture books. Specific requests this week include topics like "What Scriptures are there specifically about the second coming of Christ?" to "Do you have any information about Seventh Day Adventists?" We were able to help both of these people with their requests along with many, many more. Please continue to pray for this vital ministry.

Sherry has been working with her team of volunteers on preparations for Vacation Bible School which starts next Monday. While I was buying every pencil and every large box of crayons from our local grocery store one of the managers asked me it I was opening my own stationery store. I explained that we were having a "special programme" for children at the church (the term "Vacation Bible School" is not known here). He asked if his two school aged children could attend. I assured him that they were welcomed. He then walked over to a couple of his fellow employees and told them about the programme. We are expecting a good group of children and ask you to pray for our whole team - but especially Sherry since she is spearheading the whole VBS.

We are so glad to be where God wants us to be and thank Him for this privilege. We also thank you for praying for us as we continue.

In His Service,

Patrick and Sherry
